Ulverston Town Council manage 7 allotment sites:
(rear of the Scout Hut on Priory Road) – Volunteer rep is Steve Gorry
(next to Ford Park) – Volunteer rep is Ken Barrett

(opposite Cross Lane in South Ulverston) – Volunteer rep is Sarah Walduck

(off Garden Terrace) – Volunteer rep is Councillor Helen Irving

(off Morecambe Road) – Volunteer rep is Gary Mills

(off Morecambe Road and Priory Road) – Volunteer rep is Larry Bottrell

The cost is currently £55.00 per year for a full allotment and £35.00 for half allotment.
New allotment holders pay a £100.00 deposit which which is refundable as appropriate when the tenancy ends if the allotment remains in the same or a better condition than when it was let. The application link is at the bottom of this page. Allotment holders must have a residential address in Ulverston. We currently have a waiting list for all sites, so please submit your application and we will keep you updated. The electronic booking form will be submitted directly to the Town Council officers.
An average allotment plot is 200sq yards (approx). There are some half plots measuring 100sq. yards (approx). Whilst we expect allotments to be cultivated, we are also quite happy if they are used as gardens with a grassed area for sitting out and relaxing, as long as at least 75% of the site is used for cultivating fruit and vegetables.
If you are interested in becoming an allotment holder please email us to be added to the waiting list.
