A Very Snowy Carols at The Coro

The annual Carols at The Coro event took place on Saturday 2nd December – a day that will certainly be remembered by many due to the amount of snow that also arrived that day.

Fortunately the snow didn’t put off our scheduled performers – Ulverston Training Band, Ulverston Town Band, Ulverston Choral Society and the St Mary’s Primary School Choir – and guests were treated to an array of Christmas classics and popular sing-a-longs throughout the matinee performance.

The second to last song, Jingle Bells, performed by Ulverston Town Band saw the Mayor of Ulverston, Counsellor Michelle Scrogham, joined by children from the audience and the Mayor of Dalton for a bell-ringing finale of festive cheer. 

Considering the lower than expected attendance, an incredible £411 was raised at the event which will go to local Ulverston charities, as chosen by the Mayor of Ulverston.
